Celebrating Outstanding Attendance and Rewards Events
BackWe are proud to announce that attendance is on the rise, with the highest attendance the school has seen since the pandemic, which has had lasting effects into school and home lives.
The school has taken a supportive and proactive approach to attendance, attempting to intervene with pupils where they can to prevent a build-up of absences and miss precious time at school. Everyone at Wayland works together to support the improvement in attendance from Form Teachers to SLT all working together to support pupils.
Incentivising attendance with a change in rewards for attendance including golden tickets and recognition for 100% attendance has also helped encourage our pupils to make the most of their time in school learning.
The recent Wayland Wintertime Event in December was a huge success with attendance significantly higher than the previous year. The Junior Leadership team helped make every one of the over 20 events for 13 days a huge success! Including Christmas Lunch, Hot Chocolates at break time, Disco, Christmas Sing-a-long and of course Christmas Jumper (and sock!) days.
Activities and rewards events are supported by great attendance and the dedication of our students to give their very best. The school are already excited for the upcoming term and activities weeks in the future.
